As tunnels and bridges are becoming larger, this facility can safely evacuate elderly people, disabled persons and pregnant women (hereinafter referred to as "objects") by using safety rails installed on both sides of tunnel and bridge to prevent accidents which may occur at any time and place.
In this facility, the safety rail is installed in the longitudinal direction in the same way as it was previously. If a button(Control Button) installed at every proper position is pressed during emergency, such as accident, the railcar bogie installed every 500m to 1,000m can be loaded with objects to transport them to safe evacuation facility.
The railcar bogie is driven by an electric battery, and the battery is always charged in car park(dock). If the battery(electricity, etc.) breaks down, the moving handle can be used to transport the elderly or handicapped persons, etc., by manpower.
The Control Button(hereinafter referred to as "C/B") is installed at a specified distance, and the railcar bogie automatically moves to the place where C/B was pressed to use it. Then, the objects can be loaded and transported to safe location.
To prevent accidents, such as fall accidents, on railcar bogie while the passengers are moving, an anti-fall railing is automatically unfolded when the railcar bogie is lowered. After use, it will be automatically folded inward when it is lifted toward the inside for storage.
Gas shock absorber can be installed on the bottom of railcar bogie to make it unfolded or folded with light force(about 10Kg).
This facility can be used not only for evacuation but also for transporting the equipments during maintenance of bridges and tunnels and can be used as a means of transportation. In the event of inspection and maintenance of the inside of tunnels, this facility has the advantage that all functions can be performed without need for controlling the vehicles that have passed through.
The evacuation facility has a carrying capacity of 350kg(70Kg x 5 persons) and a moving speed ranging from 10 to 20m/min.
